Poggibonsi is the productive heart of the province of Siena, which has always distinguished itself by the entrepreneurial and commercial tradition that makes the city lively and dynamic. All around it, there is the splendid Tuscan countryside and important remains of the ancient splendour of the area before the bombing of World War II razed the city centre to the ground. We are referring in particular to the wonderful Cassero, built in the larger Archaeological Park of Poggio Imperiale, and to the magnificent Rocca di Staggia which is situated between Poggibonsi and Monteriggioni. 

You can celebrate your civil wedding in these very places as well as in the room of the Giunta della Casa Comunale (townhall). Civil weddings can be held in the Cassero in the beautiful Sala Francovich or outdoors in the Piazza d’Armi, the vast garden of the fortress.
